Bus Accessibility

Route 1:
- The bus is a 20-passenger low floor bus with one door for all passengers.
- The ramp loads from the side door and is significantly faster than traditional CHAD buses.
- The bus has a seat equipped to handle a child safety seat.
- Pull the “stop request cord” in plenty of time (at least 30 seconds before the stop) for the driver to be able to stop safely.
Route 2:
- The bus is a 9-seat van with one door for all passengers.
- The ramp loads from the side door.
Bus Safety Tips
- Be careful when stepping up to board the bus.
- Always obey driver instructions.
- Be careful that backpacks, bags, purse straps, or coats don’t get caught in the doors as you get on or off the bus.
- In slippery winter conditions, be extra careful getting on and off the bus.
- Never walk directly in front of or behind a bus—the operator and other drivers may not see you.
- Always hold on to the grab rails—the operator sometimes has to brake suddenly.
- Keep the aisle clear of tripping hazards such as bags and backpacks.

- Bus routes at the stop (Route 1 and/or 2)
- Bus route direction, if applicable
